Ryan Brooks King
President and Co-Founder
Ryan Brooks King co-founded Jean Kane du Pont Youth in 2008, then known as the Beautiful Door Foundation, and is President of the Board of Directors. His purpose then and now was to lead an organization dedicated to young adults discovering their purpose and turning their dreams into reality.
He currently serves as the Director of Edification and Philanthropy at Edify, a global nonprofit dedicated to educating millions of children worldwide through partnerships with entrepreneurs who need access to training, capital and technology to grow their schools. Prior to joining Edify, he was a pastor of churches in Pennsylvania and California, where he founded and led a new church.
Mr. King holds a B.S. in Marketing from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where he was President of the Interfraternity Council. He also completed a Masters in Theological Studies from Palmer Theological Seminary.
He married his wife, Lauren, in 2007, and together they are raising two amazing kids, Brooks and Georgia.
Shane Daniels
Secretary/Treasurer and Co-Founder
Shane Daniels co-founded Jean Kane du Pont Youth in 2008, then known as the Beautiful Door Foundation, and is Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors. His purpose was the same as Mr. King's : to lead an organization dedicated to young adults discovering their purpose and turning their dreams into reality.
He currently is an independent filmmaker and director in the Greater Philadephia area. Previously he was the editor at PBS for the acclaimed Docu-Series entitled The Contenders which examined the sixteen most compelling Presidential campaigns.
Mr. Daniels holds a B.S. in History/Education from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where he was President of the Black Student Union and a member of the Student Government Association. He also completed a Master in Fine Arts from Temple University in Cinematography and Film.
He married his wife, Sarah, in 2008, and together they are raising two amazing kids, Shane and Samiyah.
